I think today is a good day for a little wisdom or as some like to refer to Wednesdays as "Wisdom Wednesday." I took this picture out of a book I'm reading called Seal Team Six: Hunt the Scorpion by Don Mann with Ralph Pezzullo.
This quote by Albert Einstein is excellent for an everyday reminder to live in the present and to keep pushing forward through tough times. I know for myself, I personally have a very difficult time transitioning from summer break and going back to school. Moving away from home and being overloaded with school work, work, and a social life is a lot to handle especially when you aren't feeling 100% mentally. I had a really difficult time last year and suffered from anxiety for the first time ever. I let it take over my life in a way I didn't know was possible but this year I want to make the best of my year and try and actually have some FUN! This is one of the reasons why I decided to make a blog with my sister because in doing this, I still have time for me and get to express myself. Being creative is a great outlet to plug in your emotions. We need to remember not to take life so seriously sometimes and simply just be as we are in the moment. We need to accept our emotions and feelings instead of trying to fight them. With anxiety, you usually try and fight off your feelings, especially the bad ones. This is still a challenge for me at times.
If you have ever had problems with anxiety like I have you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. You may question life and what your purpose is and the list goes on and on. I've since remembered this quote that Buddha taught to his students, "One must immerse oneself into the river of life and let the question drift away."
HAPPY WISDOM WEDNESDAY
