Inspiration
Inspiration can be found almost anywhere and in anything: in nature, music, people, organizations, books, movies, etc. Being inspired is a great feeling. It's almost like having an aha moment. It makes you want to do something, create something unique, bring about change and improvement, make a difference in the world, and maybe even be the source of inspiration for others.
People can also spur creativity and passion in others. A few weeks ago a man named Milton Creagh (look him up, he is awesome) came and spoke at my high school. He talked about many things that a lot of people either don't think about or don't want to think about because they can be really sensitive topics.
As you can see, he is very passionate,
captivates the audience, and interacts with them.
A major thing he discussed was our futures, and that we have the capability to be and do whatever we dream of, as long as we have good work ethic, which our generation lacks. If we put in an hour each day towards whatever it is that will help us achieve our goals, we can succeed! Practice an instrument, make a movie, write a song, study, play a sport. I encourage you to put in the time and effort and someday you will be great!
On a more somber note, he also talked about things that can change lives in an instant, but not for the better: bullying, rape, alcohol, drugs, gangs, suicide, and basically everything bad. These things can tear families apart, ruin people mentally and physically, and worst of all, claim innocent lives. Make the right decisions and stand firmly by your beliefs. Stick up for and help victims. Help those who struggle, and don't forget to show them love and that someone cares.
Mr. Creagh inspired me to be a better person.
This week I encourage you to find your muse and thank someone who has made a difference in your life.
