DIY Glass Bottle Vases!
Reduce Reuse Recycle
These are adorable little vases that I made from glass Frappuccino bottles. All I did was drink them, paint them, add water and bamboo.
Materials:
glass Frappuccino bottles
acrylic paint
paintbrush
circular stickers (yard sale pricing stickers work well)
First, clean the bottles.
For the vase that is white with big clear dots, I covered it in circular yard sale stickers. Then I painted the whole bottle with three coats of white paint. Lastly, I simply removed the stickers.
For the vase with small white polka dots, I used the handle end of a paintbrush to make the dots by simply dipping it in a little bit of paint. To start, I made two columns going down along the lines in the glass to use as guides for the rows (shown above). Then I just added rows of dots till it was completely covered in them.
To add a little bit of color, I made the third row of polka dots green to match the bamboo.
I bought these two bamboo plants from a local dollar store for only $1.29 each.
I love the simple and natural look these vases and plants add to a room. They would look great in a dorm room or even as centerpieces!
